Giving the impression of depth and space this mirror is well suited for entrance halls and living rooms. An overhang acts as a shelf which in turn doubles any objects on display for added interest. It has also proven to be an effective coat, hat and scarf hanger.
In order to secure the mirror in place I have routed the edges of the inside slats, then inlayed cross
bands of wood across each corner. The Mirror is hung buy screws placed in the wall and sit in pockets at
four points in the frame for weight distribution and allow to hang flush against the wall.
I am happy and confident with this design. The project has provided me with insight towards the root
understanding of linear designs that will assist me in the future with basic and complex undertakings.
